Open Box Software, a leading global provider of software and services to the Real Estate industry, announced today the appointment of the company’s North American MD, to Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Brendan Canny will drive Open Box’s market penetration, partnerships and client relationships in the US and UK.

Canny started with Open Box in 2006 as a Graduate Developer and Business Analyst, quickly moving into his first leadership role as a Lead Developer and then Project Manager. He has since held roles of Account Manager and Head of Business Development before moving permanently to New York to head up the Open Box New York office.

Canny succeeds Malcolm Hall, Open Box’s Founder and now Group Chairman. “Brendan has demonstrated his ability to apply a growth mindset to both himself and those around him, which is key for any leader in our organization,” said Hall. “He epitomizes the principles upon which we were founded – our focus on delivery excellence, while constantly searching for better ways of doing things. This has been the foundation of Open Box’s success to date, and this will continue to underpin everything we do.”

Alongside this change, Roger Hudson, previously Head of Strategy has been promoted to Group Chief Executive Officer. “Roger has a strong track record in international business development, negotiation, deal-making, and coaching. His addition to the leadership structure strengthens the team and enables us to bring new spheres of business into the group, broadening our service offering to our clients,” said Hall.
