Tishman Speyer Lease Data Application

Posted by Mark Kalkwarf in: Bleeding Edge Innovation

The client had an existing system which managed building, lease and tenant information. However, this system did not provide the level of stability, performance and load-handling required.

Outcome

A web-based Lease Data System was developed which interfaced with the employee portal to alert property managers to critical dates.

Business Case

The client had an existing system which managed building, lease and tenant information. However, this system did not provide the level of stability, performance and load-handling required.

Lack of visibility of critical information such as impending deadlines for contractual options and changes was a significant financial risk that needed to be addressed.

Solution

A web-based Lease Data System was developed which interfaced with the employee portal to alert property managers to critical dates. The system sources data from the back-office accounting system while the capture of contractual information is outsourced and follows a stringent system-driven review process.

The system provides a number of financial and leasing reports to facilitate better, more efficient property management and planning. A building visualization tool was a valuable addition that enabled an at-a-glance overview of occupancy.

Benefits

  • Timely alerts to critical dates and action items.
  • Ability to analyze cross-tenant information.
  • The ability to easily extract relevant contractual information from 1000’s of tenant contracts.
  • Integration to property management back-office accounting system.
  • Easier and more structured data capture.
