Roger leads the overall strategy of the Open Box Group and is responsible for the execution of key strategic initiatives. He oversees the leaders of Open Box’s business units, working closely with them to optimise approach and performance. He is also focused on acquisition and investment initiatives and the successful integration of these into the Open Box Group.
Roger interned at a Silicon Valley start-up whilst studying a Business Science degree, majoring in Economics and Game Theory. He started work at The Ogilvy Group in London and went on to found a business consultancy serving European real estate developers in the London market. During this time, he worked closely with some of the largest public and private real estate companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Joining Open Box in 2019, he brings substantial experience in deal making, international business development, and team performance.
Roger is a two-time Olympian and multiple world champion sailor. In 2008, Roger co-founded RaceAhead, a South African NPO focused on coaching South African youth sailing talent and enabling teams to compete globally.
In his spare time, he can be found hiking and biking on mountain trails with his family and playing sports with his young boys.
