resident websites
Business Case
The apartment complex consists of two residential properties situated in the Manhattan
New York with a combined apartment count of over 11,000 units.
The two properties required that portals be created to allow tenants access to information
about their properties and the various amenities and services available to them.
The portals also created a forum allowing tenants to provide feedback to as well
as request services from the managing agent.
solution
Two publically accessible resident portal websites for the apartment complex were
created. The websites structure and content are controlled through a separate, custom
developed, content administration system. The system also integrates with a back-office
leasing system used to validate the details of registering residents.
The websites link to a number of third party applications and service providers
to allow residents to access the onsite concierge, log maintenance requests as well
as receive updates and newsletters detailing the latest news and events at the properties.
Benefits
The websites have provided the management agent with the ability to open a line
of communication with over 25,000 residents. It also provides a platform to offer
future value added services to the residents, such as online bill payment and online
lease renewal.
