partner and equity tracking
Business Case
Boston Properties was using a legacy spreadsheet approach to track their partner
equity positions within the partnership. A growing number of partners and an increasing
volume of transactions made this rigid method more challenging, and a more efficient
automated solution was required. Users also required improved access, auditing and
reporting capabilities for the sensitive information they were managing. Investigation
into third party solutions was unsuccessful as none was able to meet the business
needs of a REIT company.
solution
The proposed solution was a browser-based Partner and Equity Tracking (PET) application.
Allowing users to capture transactions from distributed locations, the application
also includes automated imports of stock option data from a third party application.
Users also have real-time and historic views of partnership positions, which includes
a full transaction history.
Benefits
The PET system allows for efficient access to and capture of critical information.
Users have the ability to manage imported stock options, view reports of historic
transactions and access the information securely from distributed locations. Backup
and transition audit control also ensures the integrity of confidential information.
